I switched to Mac a few months ago and for the most part the transition was painless.
From a hardware standpoint you can’t help but breathe a sigh of contentment. From an operating system standpoint, it’s an OS like any other - both with good points and with limitations. For that reason I haven’t converted into a full fledged Apple Evangelist.
But something happened tonight that offered up another small sliver of my heart to Father Fruit…
I used FaceTime the way it’s characterized in official Apple commercials. I’m in Dallas. My family is at home. FaceTime helped bridge the distance. Sure I’d played with the App just to see how it worked, but none of those experiments compare to the real-life application.
In the next few months my wife will begin traveling more, but with this new tool I’m confident I’ll feel better about things.
